2018-08-15 | Currently the Turkish Lira faces the lowest level to the USD since the financial crisis in 2009. Compared to the USD the currency lost 45 percent to the USD since beginning of 2018. Inflation rate is at 16 percent and many experts see a further increase to 20 percent in a short period of time. The key interest rate stands at 18 percent.
