In Poland and other Eastern European countries, the focus has been on cultivating cereals, corn, and rapeseed, and only a small amount of Millet has been grown. An important indicator of this development is the rising quotations for the old harvest. In previous years, prices always weakened shortly before the harvest - not this year. We have to be prepared for high prices.

Demand has collapsed, and there is currently hardly any product being traded. As a result, prices have fallen sharply, and farmers in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Moldova have reduced their plantings. In addition, the harvests are negatively affected by the severe drought throughout Europe. We expect prices to firm again as demand increases in the coming weeks and months. Another reason for the firmer scenario is that Russia has fallen away as an essential source due to the economic embargo by the West.
